Dismantling Shame
Vulnerable share
Trigger Warning: CSA and sexual exploitation.
Yes, we are talking about the Epstein files—but from a personal place.
I read that Epstein made the girls recruit more girls. That is such a common move among predators. One I experienced firsthand.
It was hard to decide whether to share this or not, it’s too personal, but then I remember, shame is not mine to keep. It’s theirs. The predators’. May they live in shame. May our truth set us free.
I was 13. A friend my age set me up with two adult men in their late twenties. For many years I wondered why she had facilitated this encounter. Now I understand. Young girls are often groomed to cooperate with predators—to be liked, to be accepted, perhaps to feel safer. In her case, most likely to feel cool.
For many years my body blocked the memories. I had been drunk, after all. But one day, during a breathwork practice, my body remembered—physically—what my mind had forgotten. And it was through that powerful, embodied memory that I was able to begin healing this part of my past.
I share this because Epstein is not an isolated case. Predators exist in every industry—and they are often as close as the man next door.
Dismantling systems of oppression means refusing to normalize the abnormal. It means standing up, naming what we see, tending to survivors, and designing new worlds.
We don’t just stand against something. We stand for something.
We stand for a world of compassion and care. For a world where innocence, love, pleasure, and tenderness are protected. Where children are safe. Where women have agency and power. Where everyone has the right to live in peace.
Every two months, I host an online ceremony where we hold these dreams together.
Where we share the journey, witness each other, process what’s heavy, and dare to imagine something better.
We alchemize pain into hope. We nurture love. We choose, together, the world we want to live in.
